What should I do after PRK?
❖ Please avoid any eye makeup or creams, for 7 days following your procedure. ❖ Avoid swimming, hot tubs, gardening and dusty, dirty environments for two weeks. ❖ Avoid getting water directly into your eye(s). You may shower the day after your PRK procedure.
Can I watch TV after PRK?

Avoid watching television, reading, using computers, tablets and cell phones for the first 48 hours after your surgery as these activities may cause eyestrain.
How painful is PRK recovery?
Is Healing from PRK Painful? There is soreness and discomfort associated with PRK recovery, this is true, but on the whole, the pain that patients experience after their surgery is quite tolerable.
When can I wash my face after PRK surgery?
Generally speaking, you should wait at least 24 hours after LASIK before washing your face. This is the same guideline that we give our patients for showering. As with showering, you need to avoid getting soap and water in your eyes for a minimum of several days.
How long is vision blurry after PRK?
Vision with LASIK will be corrected almost instantaneously, there will be little to no pain and full recovery is a few weeks after surgery. With PRK, you may experience blurry vision for a minimum of 4 days after the surgery and full recovery takes about 4-12 weeks after surgery.
